FCL Artist Series: Movements! - Impressionism In-Person
Join us for our next edition of the FCL Artist Series: movements! Learn about and make a craft in the style of some of art history’s most prominent eras. Today we will be learning about the Impressionist movement, popularized by artists like Claude Monet, and collage and paint Monets famous water lilies! We will read about Monet's life and learn about what led him and others to create art and pioneer this new style. This program is best for children ages 6-11. Registration Required.
The FCL Artist Series: Movements is a series of children's programs following different famous art movements throughout history, with each program highlighting a different era and the prominent work/artists that characterized it. The series encourages children to analyze artwork and discover the deeper meaning in various examples of art while inspiring them to create their own through themed crafts.
